Company secretarial services

Every company is required to appoint a company secretary.

The company secretary must normally be in Hong Kong.

If the shareholders and directors are two separate persons, then they can appoint one of them as the company secretary.

If the shareholder and director are the same person, a third person needs to be appointed as company secretary.

The sole director of a company cannot also serve as the company secretary.

A company secretary is a statutory role and not an assistant to the directors or executive officers.
